BDA Sports International announces the signing of talented wing player Joao
Gomes from Portugal. Gomes is a 6-7, 22-year old 2007 draft eligible player. He is an exceptional athlete, fluid shooter with a wide wing-span and solid upper body strength. Gomes played last season for FC Barreirense where he was developed from the youth ranks and won Most Improved Player of the Year in the Portuguese League.
Gomes impressed several NBA scouts at the 2007 Reebok Eurocamp in Treviso, Italy with his athleticism, solid shooting and dominating rebounding performance on both ends of the court.
